John Wilson, referred to in the media as a Garda whistleblower, has commenced High Court proceedings seeking to challenge findings made in May 2012 that he was in breach of discipline by attending court proceedings in Cavan while off duty.
Garda Inspector Paul O’Brien is accused of attempting to frustrate a drink-drive prosecution and was summoned to appear before Dublin District Court.
