A disruptive neighbour is given 28 days to leave.
A young mother who held loud parties that attracted a criminal element in her County Council provided
accommodation was given 28 days to leave by the Circuit Court.
Josephine Tyrell the Judge said had been “the cause of intimidation and fear to her neighbours”. There had been a total of 36 complaints from neighbours over her antisocial behaviour and that of her visitors.
She was given several warnings.
On one occasion Ms Tyrell had climbed onto the balcony of a neighbour and shouted and threatened the neighbour. Two other occupiers had given up their homes because of the disruption she had caused in the estate.
Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council had served a notice to quit due to breach of contract in December 2012. Over the course of the next year Ms Tyrell refused to quit and remained unlawfully in the house causing a further 36 complaints.
The Judge directed she give possession of the house to the Council and that during the 28 surrender period the only people allowed to visit the house were herself and her children.
